So my dad has been looking for a rat rod for ever. It's been difficult to find a running example with a title in his price range. With that said, he's willing to settle for just about any old truck with a V8. Today he sent me a link to this 1947 Ford Panel truck on eBay. The seller's opening bid is $7800, and he doesn't have any bids yet in a no-reserve auction. I think this is too high. My dad thinks it's worth $5000, but I think that's too low. I'd estimate $6500-7200. What do you think? It's pretty clean, it runs, and has a title. It's rust free, in original condition, and has new tires. Link below:

did you just say RUST FREE?!
Yeah NP. If it gets up to 9-10k + then it's getting out of NP and moving towards the CP.
Flatheads are cool.

It is definitely NP and too nice to rat rod. That being said your dad should still offer $5k to the guy.
